MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL

Lyrics

Ladies and ghouls… The clock is striking twelve. Midnight… Step right up! There’s a light at the end of the old dead street, Hear the click-clack-clack of a skeleton beat, See the crooked little sign saying, “Come inside,” And the ghost at the gate says, “Enjoy the ride!” Black cats dancing underneath the moon, Witches on the midway singing out of tune, Something in the funhouse is calling your name— Step right up and join the game! One, two, three, Hear the carousel sing, Four, five, six, Watch the shadows do their tricks, Seven, eight, nine— It’s almost time… TEN! Midnight Carnival! Come on, come on! Midnight Carnival! All night long! Round and round till the morning light, Everybody comes alive tonight! Midnight Carnival! Come on, come on! Midnight Carnival! All night long! Scream if you wanna, Dance if you dare— At the Midnight Carnival! Hey! Hey! Round and round we go! Hey! Hey! Don’t you wanna go? Midnight! Midnight! Midnight Carnival! There’s a mummy moonwalking under the lights, While a vampire’s taking Polaroids all night, Skeletons shaking by the cotton-candy stand, And a werewolf just won a stuffed rabbit with one hand! Fortune teller says, “You’re in for a treat,” There’s a zombie roller-skating right past my feet, The moon’s getting higher, the crowd’s getting loud— Let’s wake the dead! RIGHT NOW! Clap your hands! HEY! Shake your bones! HEY! Turn around— Now everybody scream! When the moon hangs low And the lights burn bright, There’s a carnival waiting On Halloween night… And everybody’s invited. MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL! Come on, come on! MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL! All night long! Round and round till the morning light, Everybody comes alive tonight! MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL! Come on, come on! MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL! All night long! Scream if you wanna! Dance if you dare! Magic and mischief everywhere! Midnight! Midnight! Midnight Carnival! See you next Halloween…
